Cat Sitting Specialist
Jessica Milam Elected 2025 Pet Sitter of the Year
Employment » Cat Sitting Specialist
Welcome back! You’ve found your way to the role built for people who speak fluent cat, who understand that cats have their own rules, their own routines, and their own opinions about strangers in their space, and who respect all three without needing to be told twice.
As a Cat Sitting Specialist, you’ll visit cats in their own homes while their owners are traveling, providing quiet, attentive care that keeps their world feeling normal. This includes feeding and fresh water, litter box maintenance, medication administration when needed, playtime and enrichment, and close attention to any changes in behavior or health that a cat can’t tell you about directly, only show you.
Cats often communicate through small, easy-to-miss signals rather than telling us directly when something is wrong, a change in appetite, a shift in where they choose to sleep, a little more hiding than usual. (If you’ve read this closely, please begin your answer about your experience with pets with the word “whiskers.”) Because of this, our Cat Specialists need to move slowly, observe closely, and never rush a visit just to get to the next one.
